Donna Roberts Hernandez has been a practicing attorney since 1985 after
earning a B.A. in political science from Texas Tech University and a J.D. from
Southern Methodist University School of Law. She also has a M.A. in Strategic
Communication and Innovation from Texas Tech. Donna began her
trial practice in Fort Worth at the firm of Gandy Michener Swindle Whitaker &
Pratt, P.C. prior to moving her practice to the Dallas firm of McManemin & Smith, P.C. in 1989. In 1994, Donna founded the law firm of Morris & Morris (now known as The Morris Legal Group) in Lewisville, Texas. In 1996, the firm moved to Flower Mound and is currently located in Parker Square.
Through the years, Donna has built a trial and appellate practice in areas that include family law, bankruptcy and collection, financial institutions and business disputes. She has represented numerous real estate developers and county governments related to project development and taxation issues. Her broad background in many areas of the law enables her to maintain a general, full service practice that serves most all of the needs of both individuals and business clients.
Donna is currently a Denton County appointee to the Denton County Development District Board No. 4. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Cross Timbers Rotary Club and Grace Like Rain, a ministry that mentors families in crisis. She has also been active in many civic and charitable organizations over the years, serving on the Board of Directors for Journey to Dream, Christian Community Action, Youth & Family Counseling Center, the Greater Lewisville United Way, the Greater Lewisville YMCA, the Denton County Substance Abuse Commission, the Lewisville Education Foundation, the Lewisville Economic Development Foundation and the Lewisville Alliance. Donna has chaired both the Lewisville and Flower Mound Chambers of Commerce Boards of Directors and served as the President of the Flower Mound Rotary Club.
She resides in Flower Mound, Texas with her husband Tommy Hernandez and serves as the administrator for the non-profit Dallas Tigers Baseball Club, Inc.
